After nearly three months since the release of DotA version 6.66, IceFrog has released version 6.67 with a lot of interesting rework as well as a new mode, capture the flag.
Capture the flag mode is a fun mode which requires teamwork and coordination. There will be six fixed points in the map. These points, when captured, give bonuses to a team’s heroes. There are three kinds of bonuses; combat, regen and speed. There will be two points in the map associated with each individual bonus which will be placed on opposite sides of the map.

- Slardar’s abilities have reworked duration and values
- Terrorblade’s Soul Steal improved
- Tidehunter’s Ravage has some travel time as it grows outwards
- Rooftrellen’s Eyes in the Forest reworked
- two new items, Ethereal Blade and Soul Ring
- Yasha recipe cost decreased
- Armlet of Mordiggian’s cooldown toggle decreased from 10 to 5 seconds
- Satanic’s activatable Unholy Rage lifesteal from 150% to 175%
As a few heroes’ abilities have been reworked, this has led to a few heroes to be included in the auto-exclude list of captain’s mode and a few heroes reinserted into captain’s mode pool. Alchemist, Visage, Bounty Hunter, Spiritbreaker and Doom have been reinserted while Nerubian Assassin, Magnataur, Terrorblade, Rooftrellen, Nerubian Weaver and Bone Clinkz have been removed.
