Alienware kicks off their second round of preliminaries at Funan in Singapore this weekend. With the first preliminary ending just last week at the National University of Singapore (NUS), this week’s preliminary promises to be one filled with tons of action.

The first preliminary at NUS was only open to students and thus other outsiders were not allowed to join. Even though registration was limited to the students, there were a number of good games coming from the participants. With heroes like NightStalker picked in the finals of the NUS prelims, it has definitely set the tone for the upcoming matches with other interesting picks to match up to the NightStalker.

The new season of the Asian DotA Championship is upon us. This time with a brand new sponsor, Alienware, and a higher prize pool than before.

Alienware has shown much interest in the DotA scene lately having sponsored a tournament in Singapore and picking up top Indonesian team R-Digi to play under the Alienware tag. Now in 2010, Alienware lends another hand to the DotA community by sponsoring one of the longest running online tournament in Asia, The Asian DotA Championship.
