Hi guys… When you play online with other players from around the world… we usually have the same problem that is “Lag Problem”. It can be caused by your ISP or your Hardware or because other players you play with has tiny paging file and he tries to go out from the game to do something and he go back again to continue the game. Sometimes when you play DotA and you want to do other things, you go to Windows by pressing “WIN Button” or “Ctrl-Esc” usually it takes to much time and that will makes other players computer “Lag” (lagging problem) when you play online. My friend will show you how to avoid those problem, by doing this steps :
A. MAKE PAGING MEMORY BIGGER
1. Press WIN-Break/Pause Button, your screen will show you System Properties
2. Choose Advance
3. Choose Settings on Performance
4. Than Choose Advance
5. Choose Change on Virtual Memory
6. Set your drive (where you save your Warcraft data, for example : C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\… that’s mean C drive or D:\Games\Warcraft III\… that’s mean D drive) with : Initial size 1536 MB and Maximum size 3072 MB as shown above. Of course you can do these depend on how much you have Free Space in your driver. If your free space not big enough you can’t do that.
7. Press OK, OK, OK.
8. Restart Windows (if asked)
B. MATCH WARCRAFT - DOTA RESOLUTION
1. Open Display Properties at Control Panel
2. Choose Settings
3. Remember your screen resolution, from picture above is 1024×768
4. Choose Advanced
5. Choose Monitor
6. Make sure Refresh Rate is 60 Hertz or 75 Hertz (Warcraft do not support 85 Hertz)
7. Press Ok
8. Play Warcraft
9. Choose Options than Video
10. Match the Resolution
11. Press Ok
12. Finish
Now you can go to Windows faster while you playing DotA without disturbing other player.
