The Chinese website SGamer has conducted an interview with Deity.Xiaoluo, the MVP of the final match vs CH. myMYM.com has taken the time to translate the interview for you.

Following the end of the NGF DotA qualifiers. Team Deity has beaten the odds in the tournament involving strong teams such as Nirvana.cn, CH, EHOME and LGD.sGty. Deity earned the chance to play against Nirvana.my through a 2-1 win against CH in a BO3.

Despite the fact that Deity held a 1-0 advantage coming from the winner brackets, CH gave them a very hard time which provided great entertainment for the DotA community. In the final deciding match, Deity won through outstanding teamplay. The MVP of the match was none other than Xiaoluo’s weaver, a newcomer to professional DotA and he has certainly proved his usefulness through these epic games.

Hello, this is Xiaobei from SGamer, very happy that you’ve accepted our interview, can you introduce yourself please?
Hello everybody, I’m Deity.Xiaoluo, an impulsive player of the “after-90s” generation. I lack in experience and only recently began to play pro for Deity. I thank my team mates for leadership and help.

How did you join Deity, how did you get discovered?
I’m friends with Deity.34 in real life, he invited me.

I heard from rumours that you are like PIS who rose through the ranks from pubstomping, anything different after you went pro?
A great change in both mindset and the pace I’m moving at.

The team was very recently formed and you’ve already got a championship title under your belt, also it was earned after defeating the elite of Chinese DotA. What are your thoughts about this? Did you go celebrate?
Obviously I was happy about it, but didn’t do anything though.

Deity has been using Weaver as part of their strategy in many games, how was this strategy developed? What are the techniques required to play him? Also 6.67c has made a few changes to Weaver, what are your views on this?
Since I use Weaver a lot during pub games, I think I can play him pretty solidly. The team also thinks that Weaver has potential for CWs, so I developed the Weaver strategy. Weaver has great lane control and sneaky abilities. It can give or receive pressure from the opposing team in early game. In mid-game it can dominate a lane and free farm. In ganks, the beetle’s silence can cause a lot of problems for the other team. The beetle can also be used as a scout or to help gank. Since in 6.67c’s CM mode, Weaver is banned, I never bothered trying.

What are your next plans? Since you are the rookie of the pro DotA scene, you got any advices for those that seek a pro career?
Be calm and be ready for every game, mindset is very important. It’s hard to say because I haven’t sorted it out myself yet.

You will be facing Nirvana.my on 10th of April, any thoughts and strategies for this fight?
I’m in a good mindstate, we will go for a general approach in terms of strategy.
